Every family has a story. Mine came with a sword.

The Legacy of the Sword

Family portraits, inherited memory, and a surviving heirloom trace the legacy of Reverend John Audain across generations.

THE HEIRLOOM

The sword connected to this story is a family heirloom attributed to Reverend John Audain, passed down through generations and now held by author Mark A. Lindesay.

WHAT THE OBJECT SUGGESTS

Its stirrup guard, ribbed grip, and overall form are consistent with British naval swords and sabers associated with the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. This physical character supports the novel’s period while remaining separate from the disputed details of the Pirate Parson legend.

THE TRUE SWORD

Shown here is the actual family heirloom sword attributed to Reverend John Audain, passed down through generations and now held by author Mark A. Lindesay. The final Storytime installment will reveal the sword in motion and bring the 20-chapter journey back to the object that survived.
